Our winery
looks back on a wine-growing tradition that dates back to 1580. Today we cultivate 2 hectares of vineyards, which corresponds to around 10,000 vines, all of which are located on steep slopes.
The controlled, environmentally friendly cultivation of our vineyards is a must for us in this day and age.
Since 1988, our vineyards have been continuously converted to full wire frames. The resulting better utilisation of light has led to better grape quality to this day. This changeover was completed in 2018, when the Roter Riesling was planted in the Zeppwingert vineyard.
Oak barrels are still used for ageing. The advantage of this ageing method is that the fully ripe grapes, which we have been harvesting more and more frequently recently, give our wines much more character and finesse.
Every year, our wines are recognised for their high quality by the Chamber of Agriculture
