Wine in the Mosel region
It’s possible to have a Mosel holiday without wine – but it’s only half as much fun! The region’s mineral slate soil and mild climate produce top quality wines – predominantly Riesling. Fine and elegant notes are the distinguishing characteristics of our wines. Traditional wineries and young winemakers scurry around the vineyards every day, devoted to the art of winemaking. Be they intergenerational, conventional or organic, there’s one thing that unites the winemakers of this region – their passion for excellent wines.
This is why the vineyards are also the defining element of our winegrowing landscape, something you can experience up close when walking or cycling.
