Wine tastings with snacks & multilingualism – Trossen
For over 400 years, the Trossen family has been involved in viticulture in Kröv. After completing my winemaker apprenticeship, I, Egon Trossen, took over the business from my parents. Meanwhile, the Egon Trossen Winery (der-moselwinzer.de) manages an area of approximately 1.3 ha. Since its inception, the family winery has placed the highest value on gentle and clean wine production.
The Mosel has already established itself as a wine region during the time of the Romans. Particularly, the Riesling has benefited from the steep slate slopes of the Mosel Valley. Our winery originally began with the cultivation of the Riesling grape variety. Over the past years, we have expanded our offerings, so today we produce numerous top-quality wines of different grape varieties. Our range includes not only white wines such as Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, and Pinot Blanc but also red wines from the Dornfelder grape variety. In addition, the diversity of our operation is enriched by the production of rosé wines and "Rotling". Anyone who wishes to learn more about wine and the exciting stories of the Kröver region is warmly invited to visit us for a wine tasting on Riesling Street.
