"We live in a region where the landscape, climate, soil, grape variety and people have grown together over centuries to form a single organism. Year after year, world-class Rieslings are produced on the banks of the Moselle. However, it took us a few years away from the narrow Moselle valley to realize this. The dream of owning our own winery then became all the stronger and a return to the Moselle was the logical consequence. It all began in 2014 with new ideas for Christian's father's winery. In the meantime, we are continuing the tradition of winegrowing that has been rooted in our family for generations with a great deal of passion.

The heart of the winery is the Rosenhof, a stately half-timbered house from the early 17th century, which was probably built as the manor house of an Eifel monastery. With a bit of luck, we were able to acquire the building in 2018 and have been restoring it to its former glory piece by piece ever since. During the restoration, which was carried out in accordance with the preservation order, we used natural materials such as clay and lime, which also ensure a pleasant indoor climate.
