Citizen Jones – Daniel Jones on guitar and vocals, energetically supported by Tim Douthit on harmonica. The two hail from Ann Arbor, Michigan, have been playing together as a duo for 30 years, and testify that American Front-Porch Blues is still very much alive.
For almost
30 years now, the two have been playing the blues together and adding a fresh, powerful touch to the traditional "Front Porch Country Blues" of the old school. Their repertoire mainly consists of original compositions but also includes some idiosyncratic interpretations of well-known classics – allowing the audience to join in hearty sing-alongs if they wish. Their current album "Downtown Ways" was released on
February 5, 2025, and is available on
CD as well as on all major streaming platforms.*
