Akustik-Konzert mit DAT

in Tom's Pub

DAT – A musical journey through time with its own stamp Since 2020, the trio DAT has been combining eras and genres of pop and rock music into a coherent total work of art.
Their repertoire bridges the legendary classics of the 60s and 70s to the cult songs of the 2000s. The band operates completely free from inhibitions:
Sometimes they greet the audience with quiet, melancholic tones, other times with an energy that invites immediate singing and dancing.

The heart of DAT is the distinctive sound, distinguished by innovative arrangements. Acoustic and electric instrumentation blend together through the use of loopers and drum machines into a modern carpet, on which charming accents like glockenspiel or kazoo find their place. Above all, however, always stands the supportive power of partly multi-voiced singing.

Behind DAT are three musicians deeply rooted in the Hunsrück scene who have known each other for decades. The intensive collaboration during the CD production of the band "Blade of Grass" laid the foundation for their current intuitive understanding on stage.

The minds behind the sound:
Thomas Jung (Keyboards, Electronics, Guitar, Vocals, Kazoo,
Glockenspiel): As an award-winning audio engineer and producer (including Schallwelle Award for electronic music), he has contributed national stage experience from rock to jazz since the 80s. His passion for analog electronics shapes the band's modern aesthetic. He is also a member of Frank Out! and the Session Group.
Anke Boveland (Lead Vocals): With her classical vocal training and vocal development from the Lichtenberger Institute, she gives DAT an extraordinary vocal depth. Her long-standing experience in choirs, solo projects, and bands like the Winehouse Family (Funk, Soul, Jazz) makes her the charismatic frontwoman.
Dirk Schmitt (Guitar, Bass, Vocals): As an experienced instrumentalist and songwriter, he provides the harmonic foundation. His extensive band experience and his feel for songwriting give the arrangements necessary stability and structure.
