There is a reason to celebrate with the orange Soulbrothers – for 10 years now, TANQUORAY has been on the road throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein to spread the message of "orange vibes". 2024 has been the most successful year so far for the three likable musicians, with over 60 concerts – and they naturally want to top that in 2025.
Carrying two successful albums, they will be on tour all year long. Of course, a few older crowd-favorites have made it into the anniversary program, as well as brand new tracks. Intelligent song selection, convincing original compositions, exciting interpretations, and perfectly coordinated interplay form the backbone of the Tanquoray show. Between authentic blues, finest soul jazz, and funky 80s sounds, there is always room for surprises.
Live, the three are truly in a class of their own. Funky rhythms, two-part harmony singing, and orange vibes are the trademark of the three Soulbrothers.
Mayerl/Deiml (Piano/Drums) have been playing together in various bands since 1989 and harmonize blind on stage. With Sebastian Hofbauer, the two original members found a congenial partner in 2023; a singer of stature who fits in perfectly while also setting new accents. In addition, Dusty also contributes his talents on bass, double bass, drums, and beatboxing. Accompanied by piano and drums, the two voices, each with extraordinary expression and impressive range, come together. Whether TANQUORAY interprets specially selected songs or presents their own material, it is performed at the highest level, with body and soul.
In the anniversary program, original compositions take up significantly more space than before.
Alongside songs from soul legends like Solomon Burke and Wilson Pickett, the setlist includes more current pieces from Chris Stapleton or the Black Pumas. Funky tracks from Prince will be played alongside material from lesser-known songwriters like Al Wilson.
Dusty, Michon, and Toby feel just as at home in an elegant jazz club or an alternative small arts stage as they do on a big open-air stage or at a city festival.
They are even available for private events or living-room shows!
Conclusion: TANQUORAY is currently one of the most important voices of "Blue-Eyed Soul" in Germany.
