Konzert mit WALDRAPP & AGGA PONY Live

in Tom's music cellar

WALDRAPP – electronic, organic, untamed, playful. Let's call it Discopunk.
WALDRAPP consists of Wenzel von Wartholm (vocals, organ, electronic devices, ride cymbal) and Gereon Blum (E-piano, organ, Moog, xylophone, electronic devices),

the duo produces and plays electronic music, remaining consciously open to styles while always returning to their own brand sound. Danceable, but not arbitrary.
Critically aware of the present, yet with
quirky charm. The lyrics – mixing German and English – combine attitude with humor. The sound is characterized by Rhodes piano, organ, glockenspiel, and electronic textures.
WALDRAPP comes from villages:
Gereon Blum from Düsseldorf, Wenzel von Wartholm from Bollendorf near Trier.
Both bring years of stage experience – including with Frugopop, the Stylophon Orchestra of Great Britain, The Permanent Confusion, and The House of Usher. All this experience culminates in a dense, intense live set.
The current songs were mostly created on the go – commuting between Düsseldorf and Trier, written in hotels along the highway. Music as movement, as transition, as search.
Now WALDRAPP is on stage. And that’s where they belong.

AGGA PONY
– where does the name come from? Shrug. Anyway, it sounds good.
Just like their soulful-bluesy
indie rock with vintage garage vibes. The mission: To orient themselves towards the best moments in music history and then embark on a musical journey with their very own Agga Pony sound. And indeed, you can hear the influence of bands like the Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, or deWolff. But Etta James and Frankie and the Witchfingers obviously also occupy a place in the record collection of the band from Saarland and the Trier region.
Mary B. Pony: vocals and percussion
Thomas F. Pony: drums
Dirk P. Pony: bass
Jan B. Pony: guitar
