Grandma's hot water bottle curling enters the next round – training evenings continue on Thursdays
The popular winter event ‘Grandma's hot water bottle curling’ returns to the ice rink in Traben-Trarbach this year – once again on Thursdays. Due to the positive response last year, the weekly training evening on Thursdays will continue. This offer is aimed both at long-time locals, some of whom have been participating for over ten years, and guests of the Mosel Wine Night Market who are already staying in the town from the middle of the week onwards. VfL Traben-Trarbach, in cooperation with the advertising agency Blickfang Werbung, cordially invites you to take part in this special curling event with a difference – or simply to watch, cheer on the competitors and enjoy the special charm of the event.
The training sessions will take place on the following Thursdays, starting at 6.30 p.m. each time:

The sporting highlight will follow on Friday, 2 January 2026, when the 12th city championship in hot water bottle curling will be held from 6 p.m. Teams can register for this on the training evenings. Refreshments will also be provided: discounted drinks will be available on all training evenings, making the event a cosy meeting place for young and old alike.
