Welcome to the Moselle winery Spier
Our winery boasts a winegrowing tradition that dates back to the year 1580. We have 2 hectares of vineyard area, which corresponds to about 10,000 vines, all of which are located on terraced slopes.
The controlled environmentally friendly management of our vineyards is a must in today's time.
Since 1988, the vineyards have been continuously converted to full trellising, allowing the vines to better utilize sunlight through the increased leaf mass. This has further enhanced the quality of our grapes. The completion of this conversion took place in 2018 when the Red Riesling was planted in the Zeppwingert location.
In the winemaking process, we continue to use oak barrels. This aging method has the advantage that with the fully ripe grapes, which we have increasingly harvested lately, there is more play and finesse found in our wines.
Our wines have been awarded the Golden Chamber of Commerce Prize Medal multiple times.
Here you save with your Mollie Guestcard.
