The Winzerkapelle Kröv consists of about 40 active musicians between the ages of 13 and 86. The band has been led by its conductor Diethelm Albrecht since 1983. Every year, the Winzerkapelle performs more than 30 concerts of various kinds. The repertoire ranges from classical pieces to pop arrangements, from mood music to modern brass music. The Winzerkapelle enjoys playing at friendly clubs in and outside Kröv, but the Musikverein also fulfils its obligations within the community with numerous performances throughout the year. Every two years, the music society offers a special highlight with its Easter concert. In addition to the weekly practice hours, additional rehearsals in the registers and general rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings.
The Kröv Music Association has made it its mission to introduce people to music and to convey the joy of making music with a wind or percussion instrument.
The winemakers' band of the music association consists of nearly 40 young and young-at-heart musicians. The band's rehearsals take place regularly on Wednesday evenings. Annually, the winemakers' band completes over 20 performances of various kinds. The repertoire ranges from classical pieces to pop arrangements, from mood music to modern wind music.
The winemakers' band is happy to play at friendly associations both in and outside of Kröv. Additionally, the music association fulfills its obligations within the community through numerous performances throughout the year. Every two years, the music association offers a special highlight with its Easter concert.
In addition to instrumental training, communal music-making is also a priority for the youth. The MV Kröv, in collaboration with neighboring associations, offers participation in the Youth Orchestra of the Middle Moselle (JOMM). Alongside the musical offerings, there is a diverse accompanying program with music retreats and excursions.
In collaboration with St. Remigius Primary School, the music association offers projects for the first and second grades. The aim is to awaken and develop the children's musical abilities through singing, dancing, listening, and making music.
For its forward-looking youth work, the Kröv Music Association has been awarded the Sponsorship Prize of the United Volks- and Raiffeisenbanks of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district several times. In September 2022, the Kröv Music Association celebrated its 100th anniversary and received the Pro-Musica plaque for this achievement.
