Townscapes and village scenery Reil

  • Reil

Village scene with narrow streets, stylish old half-timbered houses, and quaint cellars, beautiful Moselle promenade, railway historical cultural trail "Kanonenbahn".

Welcome to Reil
The romantic wine and holiday resort of Reil has a long tradition of viticulture. The most famous vineyard in Reil is the large area “Reiler vom heißen Stein”. The legend of the Count Palatine, who exchanged his pledged soul for the noble Reiler wine with the devil, is associated with it. Here you will find unspoiled nature, dreamlike views, and you will feel at home in our accommodations. Rustic wine taverns and excellent gastronomy offer a wide-ranging culinary experience.

In addition to the extensive vineyards still present today, the district of Reil offers numerous opportunities for walks, hikes, and bike rides in scenic and varied surroundings.

Nature and cultural landscape are closely intertwined here. Large forested and meadow areas, interspersed with diverse rock formations, characterize the unique character of the Moselle Valley with adjacent ridges and side valleys.
