The varied hike through vineyards, meadows, and forests offers many impressive viewpoints. A highlight in the season is the return trip by passenger ship.

Following the footsteps of the Mosel-Camino, the hike leads through the vineyard "Steffensberg" to the "Five Valleys View," from which there is a wonderful view of the Mosel valley, Monteneubel, Großbachtal, Ahringstal, and the Karigbachtal. Afterwards, the path continues on forest paths through woods, meadows, and fields of the Hunsrück heights to the highest point of the hike, the Bummkopf. From there, in clear weather, there is a magnificent long-distance view into the Eifel.

Continuing over a section of the dream loop "Briedeler Schweiz," one reaches Zell.

During the season, it is advisable to return by passenger ship on the Mosel to Enkirch.

General information

Directions

From the Enkirch Tourist Information, we cross the main road and turn left at "Pino's Pizzeria" into the street "Im Bungert". Passing the estate tavern "Weingut-Conrad" on the right, we hike to the vineyard "Steffensberg." Here we turn left and follow the signpost E 2 (viticulture educational trail, Moselhöhenweg, 5 Valleys View).
We always walk uphill on the asphalt path until we reach the pavilion (beautiful view). We now continue left on the asphalt path until we turn right and reach the height. The path forks here. We leave the asphalt path here and continue straight ahead along the field path uphill to the 5 Valleys View (most beautiful view of Enkirch and its valleys).

From here we follow the signs "Zell" and Mosel-Camino (shell). The path continues slightly uphill over a well-walkable forest path through an idyllic shady deciduous forest. Afterwards, we cross fields and meadows to the road from the Hunsrück to Briedel, which we follow briefly to the left to the hiking car park. The highest point of the hike is reached, the Bummkopf. In good visibility, there is a good long-distance view here to the volcanic cones of the Eifel.

From the hiking car park, the path leads on forest trails through the "Briedeler Schweiz," with beautiful viewpoints into the Mosel valley, to Zell. Here follow the signage of the dream loop "Briedeler Schweiz," Mosel-Camino (shell), or Zell. The viewpoint "Beautiful View" lives up to its name.

Upon arrival in Zell, we follow the Mosel promenade into the town center.
