Cozy family hiking route along various insect hotels and life towers. Child-friendly designed info and play boards for little explorers, nature quiz, three play stations, and a playground along the way.
The route leads through the vineyard location "Kinheimer Rosenberg" along a lovingly created insect hotel and two life towers set up as part of the "Life Towers for the Mosel" project.
The benches set up there invite you to linger and discover the diversity of species along the Mosel.
Three play devices set up along the way, a large playground along the route, and 10 child-friendly designed info and nature game boards with a quiz offer varied fun for young and old.
Let's go via hiking trail no. 13 to Kinheimer Höhe. Once at the top, a bench at the "Bildstock" invites you to take a short break. Then turn left and at the next opportunity, turn left again. From there, the path leads along the information boards with a nature quiz to the vineyard location "Kinheimer Rosenberg," where the first insect hotel can be found.
The path continues past an old wine press and a play xylophone, with a short climb until a sharp left turn leads back toward the village. On this path is a whisper flower and not far from there the second life tower of this route. Did you also spot the nesting box in the trees by the whisper flower? Maybe there is a lot to see there right now.
At the next forks in the path, keep left (here you will also find a seesaw), until the old wine press is reached again.
Now it goes only downhill, past the life tower of the local community down to the B53. A path runs parallel to this road, where you now continue to the left.
At the playground of the Kita Sausewind, there is an opportunity to let off steam again—provided the hike takes place outside Kita opening hours or no Kita group is currently playing there.
Small provisions for a picnic. The route is suitable for strollers or a handcart.
Maybe pack a note and a pen for the quiz.
Finish off by "letting off steam" on the playground below the Kita Sausewind. At the start and finish (Harelbekeplatz) you will find game pieces for the mill game and TicTacToe in the lower compartment of the bookcase. This is accessible around the clock.
