A varied route along the Moselle, vineyards, and high forests.
The route is manageable as a day route and takes you after a leisurely round through the wine village Burg/Mosel over the bridge to Reil. There you will find a challenging climb through the Moselle vineyards with fantastic views of Reil vineyard locations and the Moselle valley. It goes shaded through the forests to the Mont Royal holiday park and from there back to the Moselle valley and through the town of Reil back to the starting point.
General information
Directions
From the Moselle riverbank, head into the vineyards above Burg. Follow the Moselle in parallel and cross the bridge in Reil. Slowly climb the incline through the quaint village of Reil, surrounded by vineyards. After the district "Heißer Stein" there's another climb, but it gradually becomes more wooded. The last ascent runs through the forest on natural paths until you reach a road. Turn left here, shortly after at the junction turn right again onto K63 towards Kröv. In the next hairpin turn, turn left and immediately turn left again onto the street "Auf dem Wescher." The street leads back to the K62, turn right there and in the valley turn right towards Kövenig. After the next curve, continue 500m further and turn right onto a natural path. Follow this path to Kövenig. From here, take the road to Reil, cross the bridge again, and ride on the Mosel bike path back to the starting point in Burg.

For your own safety, always wear a helmet.
Tip
In summer, you can also use the bicycle ferry from Kövenig to Enkirch and return from there on the Mosel bike path.
