Varied footpath (former towpath) along the Moselle bank past cultivated and fallow vineyard plots as well as partly pronounced alluvial forest relics.
For the interested observer, the coexistence of cultural and natural landscapes is impressively revealed here with views of the neighboring village Pünderich, the Marienburg, and the viaduct of the Koblenz-Trier railway line. The return route leads past the houses of the former Pünderich station.
We start at Bibade Platz heading towards the Moselle bank and keep to the left towards the Reil motorhome parking area. Again left up a short incline along Burggasse. Then turn right into Schulstraße and walk this until the junction with "Auf Mühlenrech," where we continue left into Schulstraße and cross the railway tracks at the end. After crossing the railway crossing, take the second turn to the right into the vineyards and follow this path to the railway embankment viaduct. Once back at the Moselle bank, turn right towards the houses of the former Pünderich station and follow the path along the Moselle bank back to the starting point at Bibade Platz.
The return route follows the busy cycle path along the Moselle bank. Alternatively, you can use part of the Kanonbahnweg. For this, after crossing the viaduct, follow the signs for this path towards Reil.
There is an unguarded railway crossing on the route. Pay close attention, trains run every half hour here.
