Panorama route through the Kinheim Rosenberg with a magnificent view of the Mosel valley and the Hunsrück

The hike leads through the Kinheim vineyard site "Rosenberg" continuing to the Moselsteig. From here, the hiker is rewarded with a magnificent view of the Mosel valley and the Hunsrück. It then continues to Ürzig, through the vineyard site "Ürziger Würzgarten". On the return route, it passes the Roman press house excavated in 1992, goes back into the vineyards and returns through Kinheimer Burgstraße.

Alternatively, in season, a return trip by bus or boat is possible from Ürzig. 

General information

Directions

The hiking trail (No. 7, direction "Chapel") leads through the Kinheim vineyard site "Rosenberg", crosses the district road, and continues for about 50m to the Moselsteig. From here, the hiker is rewarded with a magnificent view of the Mosel valley and the Hunsrück. It then continues to Ürzig, through the vineyard site "Ürziger Würzgarten". From there, the path runs parallel to the federal road B53 past the Roman press house excavated in 1992, back into the vineyards and through Kinheimer Burgstraße to return. Alternatively, from Ürzig, a return trip by bus or boat is possible.

Sufficient food and drinks - there are no places on the road to buy some

Sufficient refreshments – there are plenty of places for a small picnic with a great view

Tip

Visit the Roman press house – archaeological evidence of Roman viticulture on the Mosel, excavated and reconstructed only in 1992.
