Circular hike over the two certified hiking trails Kluckertspfad detour and Moselsteig stage 12 on both sides of the Mosel.
On this day route you can experience both sides of the Mosel. From Wolf, it goes up to the castle ruins of Mont Royal. Then follows a moderate section over the Mosel heights with many great views of the Mosel valley. After the descent into the wine village of Kinheim, the Mosel is crossed again and the last section is hiked on the Kluckertspfad detour past the Kluckerter Brook with a former Roman mill wheel. Shortly before the end of the route, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Mosel valley from the monastery ruins of Wolfer Kloster once again.
From the hiking car park, follow the access signs to the center of Wolf. From there, follow the access signs over the bridge up to the Mont Royal holiday park. From here, follow the Moselsteig towards Kinheim. At the crossing of the L58, leave the Moselsteig and follow the access path to Kinheim. Here, cross the Mosel side again and follow the access signs to the starting point of the Kluckertspfad detour. Follow the detour signs towards Wolfer Kloster and from there continue on the detour back to the starting point.
Sturdy footwear and possibly trekking poles are recommended.
Download the app "Argo - Augmented Reality" and admire the Roman mill wheel at the Kluckerter Brook in a digital version.
