One of Europe's steepest vineyard paths with slopes of up to 24%.
A relatively short but all the more challenging circular route around Traben-Trarbach, ascending some of the steepest vineyard slopes. You are rewarded with unique views of the Mosel and the Art Nouveau town of Traben-Trarbach.
The route starts at the Mosel riverbank in Traben. From here, drive onto Grabenstraße and continue onto Wildbadstraße. Shortly after, turn right and the first climb awaits. The path leads straight into the forest and loops back around. After a downhill stretch, you reach the town again, cross the street, and turn onto the next farm track. The path winds uphill past vineyards, with the cemetery on the left, then it goes downhill. Be careful when crossing the L190, as you cross on a curve! After about 50m, leave the L190 again onto a farm track. In switchbacks, it climbs up to the Grevenburg; at the end, there is a very steep section. Once arrived at Grevenburg, you can take a breather. From there, the path leads down shaded forest paths into the Mosel valley, following the Mosel cycle path back to the Mosel parking lot.
