Dear vacation guest, the picturesque wine village of Enkirch is located directly on the Moselle and is surrounded by vineyards. The special flair of the village are the half-timbered houses built centuries ago and the idyllic narrow streets.
Our vacation home is located in the center of the village, barely five minutes from the Moselle. The flair of the half-timbered house built around 1900 can be felt everywhere. A dreamy village on the Middle Moselle awaits you.
In the village you will find butchers, bakers, organic food stores, restaurants, cafes and Straußwirtschaften. The supermarkets in Traben-Trarbach are only 5 km away. You can reach them comfortably by car, bus, boat or bicycle.
Our historic half-timbered house "Liv Grete" was newly furnished at the beginning of the year 2021, 130 square meters, distributed over 2 floors, offer plenty of space for up to 6 people. In the house is a fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher). Living room with dining table for 6 people, 3 bedrooms (with 2 or 4 occupancy you can choose your bedroom), 2 bathrooms, guest toilet and a reading and game room. Free W-LAN and SAT TV are available. In front of the house are 2 parking spaces or a convertible outdoor area.
The Moselhöhenweg into the picturesque vineyards can be started directly from the vacation home. From the top you have a great view of the Mosel valley and the town centers of Enkirch and Traben-Trarbach. Also, you can reach the Moselle bike paths in a few minutes.
We can book a wine tasting for you at the winegrower. Bread roll service or breakfast in the village is possible. An information folder with sights, day trips on foot, by car, or by boat, is ready for you.
Non-smoking house, pets are unfortunately not allowed!
Ulrike, Liv Grete and Gerd Gormanns bought the historic half-timbered house in 2020. We live in Mönchengladbach, but have been Mosel vacationers for many years. 3 to 5 times a year we are drawn to the Mosel, whether in December for the Christmas market in Traben-Trarbach, over Carnival (in almost every town there is a parade), in the summer for a short vacation, or to experience the grape harvest in the fall. We love the Moselle and are happy to be new owners of a vacation home.
We would like to invite you to spend your most beautiful hours in our new half-timbered house. Enkirch is a very good starting point to explore the Middle Moselle.

Enkirch and surroundings
There are many hiking trails along the Moselle, which can be managed without major climbs. But if you want to go higher, you will be rewarded with a wonderful panoramic view.
You can also explore the Moselle very well by bike. Most of the time, there are bike paths along both sides of the Moselle, connecting the wine villages and inviting you to a glass of wine.
By car you can reach Cochem or the Roman city of Trier after an hour. You should also visit the city of Koblenz, with the Deutsches Eck (where the Moselle flows into the Rhine). In the larger cities there are many stores that invite you to store. All three cities are also accessible by train.
A special attraction is the suspension rope bridge Geierlay in the Hunsrück.
In nearby Bad Bertrich you can swim and take a cure. Here you can find the only Glauber salt spring in Germany.
Directly from Enkirch you can take a boat trip up or down the Moselle in the summer months.
