Eröffnungsveranstaltung Wanderwege "Zollturm-Steig"

Discover the beauty of nature at the opening ceremony of the 3 "Zollturm-Steig" hiking trails.

This event invites all hiking enthusiasts to explore the picturesque landscape along the Moselle and experience the newly created hiking trails. We start at 10:00 am with all three hiking tours at different starting points. Experienced hiking guides are available for each route to guide participants safely through the landscape and provide interesting information about the hiking trail.

After the hike, all groups will arrive at the "Club unter uns" hut at around 12.00 noon, where the official opening ceremony will take place. There you will have the opportunity to enjoy food and drink and get together in a cosy atmosphere.
The opening ceremony has been moved to the "Club unter uns" hut due to the weather!

At 3.00 p.m. there is the opportunity to set off on the return journey together with the hiking guides.

IMPORTANT: Due to the weather forecast, only the guided tour 1 will take place.We have decided to do this because of the persistent rain, which leads to a very slippery surface in the slate steep slopes and certainly does not contribute to a beautiful hiking experience.

Hiking tours:

• Tour 1: Medium - Start: TI/Brunnenplatz Enkirch, leads via the new pavilion to the "Club unter uns-Hütte"
• Tour 2: Difficult - Start: car park opposite Trarbach boathouse, leads steeply up to the customs tower, Starkenburg church, via Rosengarten car park and Kirster Höhe to the "Club unter uns" (gateway to Enkirch)
• Tour 3: Medium difficulty - Start: Starkenburg/Rosengarten car park, leads via Zollturm Steig trail to the "Club unter uns"

Participation in the hikes is free of charge, but registration is required. Please register via the tourist information centres in Traben-Trarbach 06541 83980 or Enkirch 06541 9265.

Of course you can also come along to the opening ceremony of the 3 hiking trails "Zollturm-Steig" without having taken part in the guided hike. We look forward to welcoming you there!

For those travelling by car:
Please use the Starkenburg/Rosengarten car park (below the castle rock) and follow the "Moselsteig Trail" to the "Club unter uns" (approx. 20 minutes on foot)
