Spring music with the duo "Sing Your Soul" in the Peterskirche Traben-Trarbach on May 27
Spring Music with the Duo "Sing Your Soul" featuring Clarinets and Concert Accordion at Peterskirche Traben-Trarbach on May 27 – "Paris mon amour – Piaf meets Klezmer"
“Extraordinary harmony and stage presence,” “a special selection of the program and charming moderation,” “music with heart that touches the soul.” This is how the duo “Sing Your Soul” from northern Schleswig-Holstein is described in the press nationwide with their unique, virtuosic combination of various clarinets – such as bass and alto clarinet – with the concert accordion. With two different programs, the duo will be performing in Traben-Trarbach and Würrich during Ascension Week. On Tuesday, May 27 at 7 PM, the program “Paris mon amour – Piaf meets Klezmer – Music against Forgetting” will resonate in the Peterskirche Traben-Trarbach. With passion and feeling, the two musicians dedicate themselves to Edith Piaf, whose major theme in life was love and who saved her Jewish pianist from the National Socialists. The duo will talk about the largely unknown work and musical life of Norbert Glanzberg in exciting moderations and present the emotional Klezmer music and unknown compositions by Glanzberg. Of course, the well-known chansons of the unforgettable Edith Piaf will also be played instrumentally, along with stories from her dramatic life.
