Reil seen from the other side: Family-friendly hike suitable for prams through the vineyards to the neighbouring village of Burg.

Leisurely circular hike between Reil and Burg with many opportunities to stop for a picnic and great viewpoints.

General information

Directions

Past the Bibade square, keep to the right and follow the course of the road. At the bridgehead, keep right and cross the Moselle and walk straight ahead into the vineyards. Turn right again and follow this path until you reach the neighbouring village of Burg. After arriving in the village, walk towards the church and from there back up into the vineyards to get back to the starting point.

Tip

Make the most of the time in the glorious sunshine for an extensive picnic on one of the numerous  benches with breathtaking view.

By car till Reil

Parking

Free parking on the banks of the Moselle in Reil. Starting point of the tour.

Public transit

Reil is easy to reach by bus and train. Hourly train connection between Bullay and Traben-Trarbach. After changing trains in Bullay, connection to the DB rail network. Hourly bus connection, bus stop on the other side of the Moselle on the B53.
