Circular walk from the village up around the higher district "Heißer Stein", called "Kuhlert" in Reil, and back down into the valley.

Footpath with some steep sections through vineyard slopes and wooded, near-natural stream valleys (Burgerbach, Pfahlbach). On the plateau, characterized by grassland, lies the district "Heißer Stein" with the nearby motocross track. Great views of the Moselle Valley and the neighboring village of Burg.

The route is signposted as R5.

General information

Directions

From the starting point, head south through vineyards into the valley of the Burgerbach stream. Follow the stream uphill through a wooded valley with a fairly steep climb. Continue through the forest and across meadows to the motocross track (which has already hosted world championship races). Then follow the valley of the Pfahlbach stream back to the starting point.
