A family-friendly walking path past the Pünderich train station to the Moselle ferry in Pünderich.
This tour leads past the Pünderich hillside viaduct, one of the longest of its kind in Europe, to the Pünderich ferry. After crossing the Moselle by ferry, the route continues without major elevation changes through flat vineyard landscapes along the riverbank.
Enjoy scenic views of Reil, the railway viaduct, the Marienburg, and the Prinzenkopf Tower before returning to the starting point.
We start at the Bidade-Platz and head towards the Moselle riverbank, keeping left toward the Reil motorhome area. After passing the site, we follow the Moselle cycle and hiking path, passing the Pünderich train station until we reach the Pünderich ferry.
After crossing the river by ferry, we turn right and continue walking through the vineyards along the river. At the end of the vineyard path, we reach the main road, which we have to cross with care.
Finally, we cross the bridge, keep left at the end, and return to our starting point.
Please note: The Pünderich ferry does not operate daily!
Extreme caution is required when crossing the main road, due to heavy traffic.
